Support
Write to info@purpl.app. It goes straight to the people who build PURPL, not to a ticket queue, and we aim to answer within one business day. If something is broken, tell us the track and the date of the session and we can usually see it from our side.
Which files does PURPL read?
.csv, .xrk and .xrz, exported from your logger or copied off its SD card. You can load them from the Files app on iOS, or by dragging them into the web app. .hrz is not supported.
If an upload is refused, it is nearly always a file that is not one of those three, or a session so short that there is no complete lap in it to analyse.
My session uploaded but there is no track map
The map and the corner by corner breakdown come from GPS. A session logged without a GPS fix, or with the logger still searching for satellites, gives lap times but no map. The first time a track is seen, splitting it into corners also runs after the upload rather than during it, so give it a moment and reopen the session.
Connecting a MyChron over WiFi
The logger has to be switched on and within WiFi range of the phone, with its own WiFi turned on in the logger’s menu. Your phone joins the logger’s network directly, so this only works with the device in front of you. If it will not connect, the fastest route is always the SD card: copy the files off it and load them like any other upload.
Managing or cancelling a subscription
- Subscribed on the web. Open You in the web app and use the billing link there. It opens our payment provider’s own portal, where you can change or cancel the plan and download invoices.
- Subscribed through the App Store. Apple manages that subscription, and only you can cancel it: Settings › your name › Subscriptions on your iPhone. We cannot cancel or refund an App Store subscription on your behalf.
What happens to your data and your money when you cancel is set out in the Refund & Cancellation Policy.
Restoring a purchase on a new iPhone
Open the You tab and choose Restore purchases. That asks the App Store for the subscription attached to your Apple Account and puts it back on the device. Make sure you are signed in to the same Apple Account you bought it with.
Deleting your account
You can do it yourself, in under a minute, from inside the product. The delete your account page says where the button is, what is removed, what is kept, and what to do about a subscription first.
Getting your data out
The You screen in the web app exports everything you have uploaded, as JSON and CSV. Do that before deleting the account: once it is gone, so is the export.
Reporting a bug or asking for a feature
Same address: info@purpl.app. For a bug, the single most useful thing you can send is the session it happened on, plus what you expected to see instead. We read all of it.
Privacy and terms
What we collect and why is in the Privacy Policy. The contract you are on is the Terms of Service.
